On Wednesday, March 24, lifestyle anchor Cameron Fontana from Columbus, Ohio’s own Good Day Columbus morning television show paid a visit to the AMA’s Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum for a few live broadcasts throughout the morning with AMA Operations Director Steve Austin.
The pair made their rounds into different areas of the museum hall, and chatted about everything from early 20th century Indians to Harley-Davidson’s vaunted and legendary XR750 to 1960s British bikes that railed around Daytona International Speedway at 150 mph.
The museum has seen an uptick in visitors over the last month or two as COVID-19 concerns begin to wane and the weather improves, and it remains a favorite destination for the area’s many motorcycle enthusiasts — and for many out-of-staters, as well.
The Fox affiliate’s Cameron Fontana seems to agree! Come back anytime, Cameron…There’s lots more to see!
The museum, located on the AMA campus in Pickerington, Ohio, is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST. The museum features two floors. The upper level honors the lives and careers of AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famers and the men and women who have shaped motorcycling in America in racing, rights, design, industry and ambassadorship. The lower level includes themed exhibits, as well as examples of historic motorcycles from the museum’s permanent collection.
AMA members can visit the museum for no charge. Nonmember rates are $10 for adults, $3 for students and $8 for seniors. Children 11 and under can visit free with an accompanying adult. Groups from five to 10 visitors are encouraged to call (614) 856-2222 or email saustin@ama-cycle.org to schedule visits.
