NorthEast Seat Candidates

Hub Brennan

East Greenwich, R.I.

A lifelong motorcyclist with active participation in an AMA-chartered club, Hub has been an AMA member for multiple decades, and he is currently serving as Executive Committee Member on the AMA Board of Directors. Hub is a self-employed physician who has successfully owned a medical practice for more than a quarter century. Leaning on his medical background, Hub has represented the AMA on the FIM Medical Commission and been a participant on AMA Medical and Trials Commissions.

Hub has worked for decades to help develop emergency medical guidelines and plans for event organizers at every level of motorcycling to best care for injured riders. A trials rider at heart and a lifelong advocate, Hub feels the most pressing concerns related to the AMA include continuing successful government and legislative advocacy, land-use issues, and membership growth. Within the Northeast Region, Hub holds that land use and environmental issues are of the utmost importance.

Ron Luning

Arnold, MD.

Ron is a lifelong motorcyclist and a longtime AMA member with experience ranging from off-road trail riding to paved road course circuits and everything in between. He is looking to leverage his experience managing and leading teams as a Navy Officer and civilian in the Department of Defense to contribute to the AMA mission.

Ron believes he would bring a fresh perspective to the AMA Board that would help him analyze issues with a clean slate. Ron feels the important issues facing the AMA today include the need to engage with youth to foster future generations of motorcyclists, motorcycle inclusion in advancing transportation methods, and land access. Regarding the Northeast Region, Ron is focused on the benefits that lane-sharing laws would provide for road riders in the region. For off-road riders, he is focused on land access protections and enhancements for both public and private lands.
