Pro-Am Motocross
AMA Pro-Am Motocross events combine both professionally licensed and A-class amateur motocross racers on-track at the same time.
These events allow top-level amateurs to gain essential experience on America’s toughest motocross tracks and prepare for the fast pace and long motos that are the norm in professional motocross racing.
AMA Pro-Am Motocross events are a key development path to earning a professional motocross racing license. In order to be considered for a professional motocross license, competitors must have earned at least 60 advancement points in AMA Pro-Am Motocross competition during a continuous, 18-month period. Points are based on overall finishes in either the 250 Pro-Am or the Open Pro Sport Pro-Am classes. Points from the classes are not combined. View the National Pro-Am Points Chart here.
