Kid dirt biking during take your kid dirt biking month

Take a Kid Dirt Biking Month

The American Motorcyclist Association has designated May as Take a Kid Dirt Biking Month.

As part of its mission to promote the motorcycle lifestyle and protect the future of motorcycling, the AMA’s nationwide campaign will focus on cultivating the next generation of passionate riders by giving them a chance to learn new skills, boost confidence and grow appreciation for the sport.

The AMA and its partners will engage in a month-long social media campaign during the month of May promoting Take a Kid Dirt Biking Month. In addition, the AMA will be working with its racing and recreational riding organizers to take the campaign to the dirt.

American Motorcyclist For Kids!

Within this magazine you will find plenty of kid-friendly stories, games and more, so make sure to check it out and share it with other kids so they can enjoy!

How to get involved

Organizers

AMA racing and recreational riding organizers have the opportunity to take this campaign to the dirt. Add Take a Kid Dirt Biking Month as a theme to your May event and the AMA will provide support materials, packets to hand out to the kids involved, and the chance for kids to win prizes. Contact AMA Director of Marketing & Communications Joy Burgess at jburgess@ama-cycle.org for more information and to get involved.

Parents and Kids

You don’t have to attend an organized event to get involved. Simply get out and ride, whether it’s in your backyard, on trails or on a track. Register for the event on Facebook, and then post your photos on social media with the hashtag #AMAKidsRide and tag @AmericanMotorcyclist on Facebook or @ama_riding on Instagram.

Photos can also be submitted through this form. All kids who post a photo on social media and tag the AMA or submit a photo directly through this form will be entered to win prizes throughout the month. When you share your story, you’ll also have a chance to be featured on the AMA website and in American Motorcyclist magazine.
