Ruml breaks through for third career championship after pair of second-place finishes in 2024 and 2025
PICKERINGTON, Ohio (Sept. 28, 2026) — The American Motorcyclist Association extends its congratulations to Max Ruml, who captured his third AMA National Speedway championship with a strong showing during the two-round season.
Ruml entered the final round of the season at Fast Friday’s Motorcycle Speedway in Auburn, Calif., with a four-point advantage over Brady Landon, and extended his overall lead with a 23-point second round to finish with 49 points, clearing Landon’s total of 43 points by six.
“Max Ruml has consistently showcased his ability to contend for AMA National Speedway championships, as he adds yet another title to his already impressive resume,” AMA Track Racing Manager Ken Saillant said. “Max continues to elevate himself among the greats in our sport, and I am grateful for his contributions to speedway as a top-tier competitor.”
Ruml broke a two-year streak of heartbreaking second-place finishes, falling just shy of Broc Nicol by three or less points in 2024 and 2025. Now, Ruml has captured his third championship — also earning titles in 2021 and 2023 — to go along with seven second places.
