Harley-Davidson unveils all-new adventure-tourer

The Harley-Davidson Motor Company has released details related to its all-new Pan America adventure-touring machine that will be available in late 2020.

The company first publicly unveiled the machine at the EICMA (Milan Motorcycle Show) in Milan, Italy, Nov. 7-10, 2019. The new Pan America is a departure from the company’s traditional offerings and is part of Harley-Davidson’s effort to expand its market for the future.

The Pan America “is an all-new advanced adventure touring multi-purpose motorcycle equal parts campfire, wanderlust, and grit,” Harley-Davidson says. “The Pan America is a two-wheel multi-tool built to endure, designed to explore, and engineered for the unknown.”

The Pan America will be powered by Harley’s latest Revolution Max V-twin engine. The company says the Pan America’s 1,250cc engine will pump out more than 145 horsepower and produce more than 90 foot-pounds of torque.

The engine is a liquid-cooled 60-degree V-twin that Harley-Davidson says “is designed to offer flexible performance with a broad powerband that builds to a surge of high-RPM power.”

The new bike also boasts Brembo brakes and Michelin tires.
