Representing the crown jewel in the American Flat Track calendar, for the first time in nearly a decade all racing classes will be competing at the legendary Springfield Mile, AFT announced.

Dubbed the “World’s Fastest Mile,” Parts Unlimited AFT Singles presented by KICKER will compete alongside the Mission SuperTwins presented by S&S and Mission Production Twins presented by Vance & Hines when the series arrives at the Illinois State Fairgrounds for the Springfield Mile double header on Sept. 3 and 4.

“Many of the most memorable races in series history have taken place at the Springfield Mile since the historic race was first held in 1937, including strategic showdowns, come-from-behind shockers, and underdog upsets. The return of the Parts Unlimited AFT Singles class, which is renowned for its spectacular action, should only add to that record,” AFT said in a press release.

The Springfield Mile is also entering a new era as this is the first year that Jared and Nicole Mees’ Mees Promotions will be running the show.
