The AMA Grand National Cross Country Series presented by Specialized revs up its 2023 season Feb. 18-19 with Round 1 in South Carolina.

The Racing Fuels Big Buck event will include professional ATV riders competing Saturday and the professional motorcycling riders racing the following day on Sunday. Non-professional ATV racing will take place Saturday, while amateur and youth motorcycling racing will occur both days.

Among the big changes from last season include the Baylor brothers’ team transitions, as Steward Baylor joined Rocky Mountain ATV*MC/Tely Energy KTM Racing team and Grant Baylor linked with Babbitt’s Online/Monster Energy/Kawasaki Team Green

Starting Sunday at 1 p.m., Magna1 Motorsports/Husqvarna’s Jordan Ashburn will begin his quest to defend his No. 1 plate against a group of determined riders.

In the XC2 250 Pro class, Babbitt’s Online/Monster Energy/Kawasaki Team Green’s Lyndon Snodgrass will begin the year with a target on his back following his 2022 championship campaign.

2022 XC3 Pro-Am title winner and Magna1 Motorsports/Husqvarna’s Brody Johnson is elevating to the XC 250 class for 2023, leaving the door open for a new class champion to be crowned.

In the WXC class, AmPro Yamaha’s Rachael Archer will look to start her title defense on a strong note.
