December 2024 Feature: The ’10s…and Beyond 

Motorcycle sales plummeted during the Great Recession, and as the industry climbed back from the Recession’s impact, smaller, more affordable bikes grew in popularity. The U.S. was once again rocked when the COVID-19 pandemic forced the world to pause, but the shutdown proved a boon to motorcycling during the early 2020s, providing an exciting legal outlet. The AMA was also plenty busy navigating the many happenings since 2010, all of which culminated in the organization’s 100th anniversary in 2024!
