Indian Motorcycle offers new 2020 Challenger bagger

Indian Motorcycle has unveiled its 2020 Challenger bagger that it says combines American muscle, next-level technology and premium comfort.

The bike is powered by the company’s all-new liquid-cooled 1,769cc (108ci) PowerPlus 60-degree V-twin engine. The engine pumps out a claimed 122 ponies.

The Challenger also features a six-speed transmission with overdrive, assist clutch to reduce clutch effort, and hydraulic valve lash adjusters and camshaft chain tensioners.

The company says riders can customize the bike’s throttle mapping by selecting one of three ride modes, including Rain, Standard and Sport: “resulting in one motorcycle with three distinct performance personalities. Each ride mode has been engineered with its own distinct traction control setting to align with each mode’s specific throttle mapping.”

Other features include electronic cruise control, full LED lighting, a long-haul seat, ABS, keyless ignition, and weatherproof saddlebags with over 68 liters of storage space.

Brembo brakes provide the stopping power. The bike is shod with performance touring Metzeler Cruisetec tires.

MSRP: Starting at $21,999. Info: www.indianmotorcycle.com/en-us/challenger.
