Grand Prix portion of AMA Ice Race Grand Championship postponed

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The Grand Prix-style portion of the 2021 AMA Ice Race Grand Prix has been postponed to Feb. 21, due to a lack of ice at the Wisconsin venue.

The race originally was scheduled for Jan. 17.

The Grand Prix event is run in conjunction with the Steel Shoe Fund’s annual three-hour endurance race on Kettle Moraine Lake at the Tiki Beach Bar and Resort in Campbellsport, Wis.

The second event of the 2021 AMA Ice Race Grand Championship is the High Voltage Ice Races, scheduled for Feb. 6 on a half-mile oval at Miller’s Bay in Oshkosh, Wis.

The events will be scored separately, and class winners at each event will be awarded AMA National No. 1 plates.
