AMA Position Statements

The American Motorcyclist Association monitors trends in motorcycling, policy, practices and legislation at the local, state, national and international levels to quickly identify and act on any threats to the motorcycling lifestyle or the future of motorcycling.

In the vast majority of these instances, the AMA staff, with assistance from AMA members, responds effectively to the concern. But, from time to time, some issues assume a greater importance that prompts action by the AMA Board of Directors.

The AMA Board of Directors adopts and publishes position statements that delineate the organization’s official stance on the issue at hand.
