2021 Zero Dual Sport Bikes Available

Electric motorcycle maker Zero Motorcycles is offering its variety of dual sport machines again in 2021 including the DSR Black Forest, DSR and DS.

Zero says the Zero DSR Black Forest leads the pack and is outfitted for effortless adventure. The bike boasts a top speed of 102 mph, 116 foot-pounds of torque and a range of 157 miles in the city and 88 miles at 55 mph on the highway.

The DSR Black Forest curb weight is 489 pounds, seat height is 33.2 inches and clutchless direct drive transmission. It also boasts a 14.4 kwh power pack with a two-hour charge time and a five-year warranty.

Suspension duties are handled by Showa 41mm inverted cartridge forks up front and a Showa 40mm piston piggyback reservoir shock in the rear. Wheels: 2.50 x 19 in front and 3.50 x 17 in back. Color: Black. MSRP: $18,995.

Zero’s 2021 DSR is much like the Black Forest version but without the windscreen and luggage. Zero says the bike, which offers up to 223 miles per charge, “combines thrilling performance with an unparalleled array of parts and accessories for the dualsport rider who wants to be ready for whatever the terrain throws his or her way.” Color: Matte brown and gold. The DS is Zero’s entry-level dualsport. It offers 82 miles on a charge with a one-hour charge time, 78 foot-pounds of torque, fully adjustable suspension and a curb weight of 317 pounds. Color: Matte gray/green colorway. MSRP: $10,995.
