The all-new 2021 Benelli TRK502 and TRK502X mid-sized adventure-tourers are being sold in the United States.
Offered by Benelli Motorcycles USA and SSR Motorsports, the TRK502 retails for $5,999 while the TRK502X sells for $6,399. A full set of EVO aluminum cases consisting of a top case and two side cases retails for $999.
The bikes are powered by a 499.6cc four-stroke, fuel-injected parallel twin engine that pumps out 46.9 horsepower at 8,500 rpm. The TRK502 produces its maximum torque of 33.2 foot-pounds at 5,000 rpm while the TRK502X produces 33.9 foot-pounds at 6,000 rpm.
Both bikes have 5.28-gallon gas tanks, windscreens and wrap-around hand guards.
The TRK502 features a steel-tube trellis frame, six-speed transmission, 50mm adjustable inverted front forks with 5.3 inches of travel and a spring preload and rebound adjustable rear shock with 1.8 inches of travel.
Stopping chores are handled by dual 320mm discs in front with four-piston calipers and ABS, and a 260mm disc with a four-piston caliper and ABS in back.
The TRK502 features 17-inch cast aluminum wheels with a 120/70-ZR17 tire in front and a 160/60-ZR17 in back. The gas tank holds 5.28 gallons.
The bike has a wheelbase of 60 inches, seat height of 31.5 inches, ground clearance of 7.5 inches and weighs 469.6 pounds.
Benelli Motorcycles USA and SSR Motorsports say the TRK502X is more adventurous than the TRK502, including featuring wire-spoke wheels that are 19-inch up front and 17-inch in the rear.
“When crossing over to the adventurous side, the aggressive Metzeler Tourance tires help tackle more versatile terrain,” The companies say. “The TRK502X stands a bit taller, with 8.6 inches of ground clearance, while the TRK502 provides ample clearance of 7.5 inches.”
Stopping power is provided by 320 dual discs with two-piston calipers and ABS in front and a 260mm disc with a single-piston caliper and ABS in back. The front tire is110/80-R19-M/C 59V in front and 150/70-R17 M/C 69V in back.
The TRK502X has a wheelbase of 60 inches, seat height of 33 inches, ground clearance of 8.6 inches and weighs 469.6 pounds.
