AMA Referees are expected to help uphold the high standards of AMA-sanctioned competition. Below is information on referee training, as well as downloadable Referee Reports, and information for promoters who are looking for AMA-trained referees in their area. Please Note: AMA-certified referees are required to have an active AMA membership.
All training is done through the study of the AMA Competition Rulebook: 2020 AMA Competition Rulebook. Please review the Rulebook before taking any of the below Referee tests.
Start the process by completing the Class “C” training: AMA Referee “C” Test
For questions about the AMA Referee Program, email Erek Kudla, off-road racing manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Class “B” Testing
Those who have completed AMA Class “C” Referee Training are invited to participate in AMA Class “B” Referee Training, which covers discipline-specific topics.
Competition Referee Reports
AMA certified referees are required to submit post-event reports to the discipline managers at the American Motorcyclist Association. You can find those documents below.
