Correction: H-D’s Clyde Denzer is Not Late At All

January 29, 2022

In Keith Geisner’s excellent “Finding 49” piece in our February issue we mistakenly wrote in a caption that longtime Harley-Davidson race-team member and eventual Racing Manager Clyde Denzer (above, far right) had passed. Not true! Denzer, who replaced the legendary Dick O’Brien as Racing Manager in late 1983, is alive and well and enjoying retirement in Wisconsin. We sincerely regret the mistake. You want to talk about a guy with a lot of great racing stories to tell? That’d be Clyde, and we hope to catch up with him soon.
