B’laster Named Official Rust Remover of 2021 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days

Ohio-based rust remover and protectant company to connect with wrenchers and riders at Mid-Ohio

PICKERINGTON, Ohio (June 23, 2021) — B’laster, an Ohio-based rust remover and protectant company, was recently named the Official Rust Remover and Sponsor of the 2021 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, which will take place July 23-25 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio.

“We are excited to be involved with the 2021 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days,” said Ted Bradley, B’laster Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “We love any opportunity to connect with the true enthusiasts who know and love our products. Of course, checking out the motorcycles is a nice perk, too.”

Founded in 1957 by William K. Westley in the heart of the rustbelt, B’laster introduced the Original PB B’laster in response to a phosphate mine’s problem in Florida. The combination of moisture and phosphate and corrosion buildup made it impossible to take apart the mining equipment for maintenance and repair. Nothing broke through the corrosion until PB B’laster was created, and PB B’laster continues to be a top-selling, rust-inhibiting penetrant today.

“B’laster Metal Rescue Remover has long been popular with motorcyclists restoring their bikes, which makes our participation in VMD extra special,” continued Bradley.  “The B’laster brand is built for rust-belt warriors that don’t let rust get the best of them.  Our goal is to help wrenchers restore and get riders back on the road.  It’s our honor to celebrate the motorcyclists and mechanics at Mid-Ohio. We can’t wait to get there!”

“Growing up near Lake Erie,” says AMA Editorial Director and Ohio native Mitch Boehm, “where founder William Westley also grew up, I’m familiar with rust and corrosion, especially on bikes that get ridden in mud — and there’s a lot of mud in Ohio! So it’s great to have B’laster on board for VMD this year, and they’re sure to connect well with our fellow rust-belt moto warriors at Mid-Ohio.”

The 2021 AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days will feature an On Any Sunday theme, celebrating 50 years of the moto documentary, with David Aldana — one of the film’s legendary stars — serving as Grand Marshal. There will also be a special outdoor screening of the beloved film. The event will also include all the vintage-oriented happenings that classic-bike fans love, including Hall of Fame activities, road and off-road racing, and the legendary swap meet.  Tickets are still available at midohio.com/tickets.
