March 12, 2013
Andrew Gross, 14, of Coon Hill Road, Cadosia, N.Y., earned first place in the 85cc 12-15 class in the 2012 AMA East National Hare Scrambles Series.
"I have been racing since I was seven. The first race I ever entered was the Square Deal Riders Mud and Snow scrambles in the Mini B class. I was on a DRZ 70 and there was about a foot of snow," Gross recalls.
"I like racing the national series because of the different terrains and different competition," Gross said.
"For 2013 I am on a bigger bike, a KTM 105SX, and will be racing the WNYOA Super mini class as well as some of the AMA national series."
In his free time, Gross likes to play basketball, hunt and fish, and hang out with his big family of four brothers and a sister.
"My sponsors are W.E.R. (Works Enduro Rider), they do my suspension; Signs, Etc. does me graphics and Upper Delaware Real Estate. I would also like to thank my Mom and Dad."
