Vince Holt: Two-time mile champ at 2012 Dirt-Track Grand Championships
March 05, 2013
In 2012, Vince Holt of Issaquah, Wash., captured the national No. 1 plates on both miles for the 40-plus and 50-plus classes in the AMA Dirt-Track Grand Championships.
His toughest competition?
"Everyone in the class!" he says.
Holt has been racing for 47 years, and he plans to continue
racing as long as it is fun and he is still competitive. He says he enjoys racing in this series because he "loves the competition and the tracks."
In 2013, he plans to race the same series and amount of races as he did in 2012.
When he's not racing, he spends his time working and going to movies.
Holt would like to thank Brian Billings, BBRP, NYMO Plates, I-90 Motorsports in Issaquah, Troy Lee Designs and Lightshoe.
Holt adds: "My folks got me started riding at 10 years old to occupy my free time. Once in the blood, I found it was the one sport I could really get passionate about. Love it! My wife and I now help at several local tracks, we promote and we sponsor racers and races. We have been giving back for nearly 20 years now. We all need to pay it forward."
