Polaris reports strong profits, beats forecasts

The U.S. all-terrain vehicle, snowmobile and motorcycle company said it made $43.9 million in the fourth-quarter of 2009. That compares to $36.3 million last year.

Polaris said deep cost cuts and gains in key markets contributed to the better-than-expected profits.
