Q: What vehicles are covered under my membership?
A: “Vehicle” includes any vehicle that is being operated by the AMA customer or that is attached to the member-operated vehicle for the purpose of transporting it from one location to another.
Automobiles, motorcycles, RVs, scooters and trailers (see note below).
Trailers covered include: travel trailers, camper trailers, 5th wheel trailers, boat trailers, motorcycle trailer/carrier, two-wheel vehicle dollies
Trailers not covered: utility trailers, flatbed/car transport trailers (unless dolly as listed above).
Q: How many services does my membership cover per year?
A: Unlimited services per year; but the membership allows for only one service type per seven days. Examples: One jump start per seven days, one tire change per seven days, one tow per seven days.
Q: What number do I call for assistance?
A: Call toll-free 24 hours/7 days a week/365 days a year at 1-877-373-6285. Your roadside assistance membership covers you anywhere in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Q: Do I pay for the services up front and get reimbursed?
A: No. Simply call 1-877-373-6285 for assistance. Your costs for services are covered. You are responsible only for the non-covered items, as outlined in the terms and conditions of your membership.
Q: Does the service coverage include winching/extrication?
A: No. The service does not include winching/extrication. But you still may call the toll-free roadside assistance number, and the roadside agent can coordinate a service provider to respond and assist. The roadside agent will obtain a cost estimate for you before service is dispatched. If you approve the estimate, service will be dispatched, and you would be responsible to pay for the service after it is rendered.
Q: Typically how long does it take to obtain assistance?
A: The independent service provider will respond within Road America guidelines as quickly as weather, traffic or emergency conditions permit (emergency conditions include but are not limited to acts of god, police pr government direction or control of local ISP network, flooding, terrorism, rioting and earthquakes). Depending on the area and circumstances, responding providers usually arrive within 60 minutes. The estimated time of arrival and provider name are always provided to you before service comes out. This way you are aware of the company coming out and the time it will take for the driver to arrive to your location.
Q: If an ETA is provided and the driver does not arrive at that time, what do I do?
A: Contact 1-877-373-6285 to speak with a roadside assistance agent. The agent will contact the provider to check the status of your service.
Q: Will service be covered if I am at home?
A: Yes. Simply call 1-877-373-6285 for assistance.
Q: Does this service cover my vehicle if it is involved in a crash?
A: No. The service does not include towing due to a collision, fire, flood or vandalism. You still may call the toll-free roadside assistance number, and the roadside agent can coordinate a service provider to assist you. The roadside agent will obtain an estimate for you before service is dispatched. If you approve the estimate, service will be dispatched and you would be responsible to pay for the service after it is rendered. Note: We suggest the member contact their auto/motorcycle insurance carrier for these services.
Q: If I obtain service on my own, will I be reimbursed for the bill?
A: Payments for services received independently from Road America without prior authorization from Road America are not reimbursable. This is not a roadside assistance reimbursement program. You would need to call 1-877-373-6285 when in need of service. The roadside agent will set up the appropriate service needed and send the assistance to your location.
Q: Will labor be covered for a Mobile Mechanic Service?
A: No. Your roadside assistance program covers the service call for the mobile mechanic to go to your location. Cost of parts, replacement keys, fluid, lubricant, installation of products, materials, trip charges to obtain parts or additional labor related to towing that are not outlined in your terms and conditions, are not covered under the program.
